From Pastor Jerry’s Desk

February is the month we celebrate Valentine’s.  We show our love for our special someone’s with dinners and flowers and candy.

Most of us are pretty good about showing our love on February 14th.  The question is, how are we the rest of the year?

An older couple was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, when the wife asked her husband, “Don’t you love me anymore?”

“Of course I do,” came her husband’s reply.  “What makes you ask a question like that?”

“You never tell me you love me,” was her honest answer.

“Listen,” he said, “I told you on our wedding day that I love you.  If anything ever changes, I’ll let you know.”

We laugh, but the truth is, all of us like to hear those three wonderful words, “I love you,” and we all like to see them lived out.

So let’s verbalize and let’s show our love to our family members and friends, not just on Valentine’s, but throughout the year.
